The David Shannon Memorial Leadership Fund has been established at the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley to honor the memory of David Shannon, longtime leader and champion of justice. David’s deep commitment to the Law Foundation and its ability to advance justice has had a tremendous impact on the Silicon Valley community. He was an extraordinary leader at NVIDIA, where he was Executive VP, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel and served on the Law Foundation’s Board of Directors, from 2003-2014, including as President in 2009. 

The fund will support and inspire similar, exceptional leadership to increase the organization’s ability to serve its clients and impact the greater community. This mirrors David’s commitment to justice, especially for those without legal access. The fund will support a focus on impact litigation, including class action matters, policy advocacy, and system change work such as drafting proposed legislative solutions. Expanding our system change work is part of our strategic plan and a vision championed by David.
