Law Student Internship Program

We have volunteering opportunities to learn about the legal profession and nonprofit legal services.

Legal Internships & Volunteering

The Law Foundation has many volunteer opportunities throughout the year for law students. Our public interest legal practice includes direct client services, impact and class litigation, systemic reform, administrative and legislative advocacy, and community outreach and education.

We attend the Northern California Public Interest/Public Sector Legal Career Day in February of each year for summer law clerk recruitment. If you cannot participate, be sure to send applications by February to ensure placement consideration. For non-summer positions, applications are accepted year-round.

To apply, we ask that you submit a letter describing your interest, qualifications, and the Law Foundation program or programs in which you are interested; resume; and names and contact information for 3 references.

Visit our Careers page to see more information about our internships and to apply.
